In result, women do not get the hefty sponsorships like their male counterparts. Their teams cannot afford the nice amenities, such as hotels while traveling, which usually come with being a professional athlete. Colavita - Sutter Home is the number one women'’s professional cycling team in the United States. This past weekend (August 18 and 19) was the USA Cycling Criterium Championship in Downers Grove, Ill. Angie, Gary, Adam (18), and Ben Kula (13), of Downer's Grove, Ill., hosted most of the members of the Colavita crew in their home, as the team does cannot budget for a hotel.
